Department:IT | Ambulatory Electronic Med RecordDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Senior Application Systems Analyst supports UAMS. Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports system applications, primarily Wisdom. Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration. Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it. Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations. Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system. Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs. Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices. Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization. Prepares activity and other reports as necessary. Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts. Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy. Provides On-Call support for application.This position will primarily work remotely from home but must be able to travel to campus and/or University Towers to attend meetings and to support application analyst staff to meet our Service Level Agreements. Additional Information: **Required to rotate 24x7 on-call duties and to respond immediately to trouble calls outside of general work hours. Work occasionally may require an excess of eight hours per day plus weekend work. Workload and deadlines pressure will regularly subject incumbent to moderate to high job-related stress.
