The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $329,000. This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Application Window Open date: November 24, 2025 Next review date: Tuesday, Dec 9, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Tuesday, Mar 31, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Pediatric Clinical Genetics Faculty Position The Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis is seeking to recruit two full-time academic clinical genetics faculty member to the Division of Genomic Medicine. The Division of Genomic Medicine is composed of 5 clinical faculty including 3 physician-scientists, 1 board certified metabolic geneticist, 9 genetic counselors, 1 genetic counseling assistant, 1.2 metabolic dieticians, a clinical research coordinator and several student volunteers. Specific areas of interest of the Division of Genomic Medicine include Autism and Neurodevelopmental genomics, Biochemical genetics/Newborn screening, Cardiovascular genomics, Craniofacial genetics, Connective tissue disorders, Lysosomal storage disorders, Ocular genomics, Precision genomics, Skeletal dysplasias and TeleGenomics. The division of Genomic Medicine is housed within the MIND Institute at the UC Davis Medical Center campus in Sacramento, California. The MIND Institute was founded in 1998 as a unique interdisciplinary research center where parents, community leaders, researchers, clinicians, and volunteers collaborate to study and manage autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Faculty at the MIND Institute have major research efforts in autism and multiple rare genomic disorders including whole genome sequencing, methylation studies, animal modeling, stem cell research, gene therapies and clinical trials along with UC Davis wide collaborations. The positions are open at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank (commensurate with credentials) in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor, Clinical X Pediatrics or Regular series. Suitable candidates can also apply for Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Endowed Chair in Pediatric Genetics. The endowment payout will support the CMN chair's efforts in expanding service, research, and teaching and further the mission of the Department of Pediatrics and the UC Davis Health campus. The initial term of the CMN Endowed Chair is for five years, with the option of reappointment per regularly established University procedures for endowed chair/professorship appointments (APM 191, UCD 191). The candidates will be expected to participate in clinical care, education, community engagement and research activities of the Department of Pediatrics and serve on departmental committees.
