Get to Know Your Team:

• Hillcrest Hospital Claremore is a 49-bed acute care medical center offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including maternity, cardiology, emergency, orthopedics, alcohol withdrawal stabilization, gastroenterology and surgery.

• The OR Assistant will be responsible for activities of patient care which involve specialty training in operating room assistance which includes but is not limited to assistance in positioning the patient, room turn-over and terminally cleaning OR rooms.
• The OR Assistant must possess a working knowledge of the anesthesia machines, ventilators, and various small pieces of equipment to maintain them in working order.
• Follows policy and procedures for patient identification and transportation.
• Communicates effectively with charge nurse, co-worker, and anesthesia regarding patient care needs.
• Restocks, provides effective turnover of surgery procedure rooms and transfers of patients.
• Clean and stock anesthesia machines, equipment, and carts.

Job Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Proficient in sterile techniques to instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Knowledgeable in the proper technique in handling, disinfecting, and sterilizing instruments.
