Salary range:
The salary range for this position is $112,500-$133,757.67. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series -Health Science Compensation Plan. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. Application Window Open date: December 8, 2025 Next review date: Wednesday, Jan 7, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Dec 7, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, UCI School of Medicine anticipates hiring a full-time Board Certified Genetic Counselor to join our clinical and academic faculty of ten clinical geneticists and ten genetic counselors. The Division provides outpatient care and inpatient consultation services to a diverse patient population in the adult, metabolic, prenatal, cancer, and pediatric genetics clinics at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center and our affiliated hospitals, including working closely with the Department of Neurology in neurogenetics clinics. Division faculty members also participate in didactic and clinical training of genetic counseling students, genetics residents, medical students, and other trainees, provide community outreach, and are actively involved in both clinical and basic science research. This position involves the provision of genetic counseling in the neurogenetics program at the UCI Medical Center and our affiliated hospitals. Research activities include genetic counseling and coordination provided in the context of on-going genomic research studies including the Undiagnosed Disease Network site at UCI as well as precision neurology initiatives. Academic activities include didactic and bedside training of genetic counseling students, neurology and genetics residents and other trainees, and research mentorship. Academic rank and salary are based on qualifications and experience.
