Korematsu Center for Law and Equality at UC Irvine School of Law offers a fellowship to support the research and professional development of a candidate pursuing a career in law teaching. This is a two-year fellowship that will begin in Summer 2026. Fellows are required to be in residence in Irvine with a commitment to participating fully in the life of the law school. During the first year, the fellow will focus primarily on scholarship. During the second year, the fellow is expected to go on the law school teaching market. Though the fellow will not have primary responsibility in teaching a class, the fellow will gain teaching experience by periodically attending classes and through occasional guest teaching. This position is formally categorized as a postdoctoral scholar within the UC Irvine system. Note that the University of California limits the total duration of an individual's postdoctoral service to five years, including postdoctoral service at other institutions.
