Manager, Process Control & Electrical Engineer

As the Manager for Process Control & Electrical Engineer, you will support production activities and facility operations. This includes process troubleshooting, process improvements, support of multiple projects, and leadership of several projects, including capital projects.

You will be located onsite at PPG's Barberton, OH plant and report to the Manager of Maintenance. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee small team (typically 2-4) of process control / electrical engineering professionals
  • Direct and provide direction to contracted draftsperson / drawing specialist
  • Ensure compliance with EHS procedures, policies, and codes, including those around electrical safety for the facility
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions
  • Provide leadership in troubleshooting of processes, process control systems, and power distribution
  • You will lead projects (including capital) and plans related to continuous improvement to processes, process control systems, and power distribution.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines, production departments, and maintenance team to accomplish the process control goals in the departments

The above items will be accomplished through delegation to the team or through direct involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related engineering field
  • 8+ years' related experience in electrical engineering and process controls
  • Familiar with industrial power distribution
  • Desirable to be familiar with Foxboro control systems and Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
