Job Description: Pediatric Dental Assistant

Location: Dentistry for Children - Dunwoody, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:15 AM - 4:30 PM + 1 Saturday per month


Position Summary

The Pediatric Dental Assistant supports the clinical team by assisting the doctor during pediatric dental procedures while delivering an exceptional experience for every patient and family. This role is ideal for a dependable, positive, and experienced assistant who enjoys working with children in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required



  • At least 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience required



  • Pediatric dental experience preferred, but not required



  • Comfortable working with children and families



  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and professionalism



  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting



Certifications / Requirements

  • Georgia Expanded Duties A Plus!



  • Radiology certification (per state requirements)



  • Ability to pass background check

Education/Credentials:


  • A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent is required.
  • Associates degree in Business or equivalent is preferred.
  • Bilingual is preferred, but not required.
  • X-ray certification is preferred, but may obtained through the Company.

Job-related experience:


  • Experience working in a professional, medical, or dental environment with direct customer service is desired for at least three (3) years.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees and public.
  • Excellent organizational skills; strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and perform job duties in a timely manner.
  • Strong computer skills, Word and Excel a must, and ability to learn new programs as needed.
  • High degree of initiative, accountability and independent judgment.
  • Communication- effective written and verbal communication is a must with all staff and management.
  • Must be able to project a capable and professional image- one that is reflective of Company Values.

Working conditions:


  • Travel between the assigned offices, if needed
