What to Expect
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production Lead Paint Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the paint spraying operations, ensuring high-quality finishes on products while maintaining safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to process improvement.
What You'll Do
- Quality Assurance: Monitor the painting process to ensure that finishes meet company specifications and customer requirements. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and proper use of paint spraying equipment, ensuring that all tools are in good working condition and that safety protocols are followed
- Training and Development: Train new and existing team members on safety, painting techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Foster a learning environment to enhance skills and productivity
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the painting process and collaborate with management to implement changes that enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels of paint and related supplies, ensuring that materials are available for production needs and minimizing waste
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including quantities sprayed, materials used, and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to management on production status and performance metrics
What You'll Bring
- Certification in painting or a related field is a plus
- Minimum 1 year of experience in paint spraying or a related manufacturing role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead position
- Strong knowledge of paint types, application techniques, and safety standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proficient in using paint spraying equipment and tools, as well as basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Physical Demands
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 35 lbs., including the ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
- Frequently and repetitively, bend, lift and reach to install parts
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/day
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding or other high structures
- Ability to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump cap and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Expected Compensation
$25.88 - $38.46/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
