Overview

The DTS Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, performance, and strategic direction of DTS Operations Teams. They ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of enterprise systems and databases, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. They apply strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to proactively identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of systems investments. Other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and mentor a DTS Operations Teams.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.

  • Manage workload distribution, project assignments, and on-call rotations.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and security of servers, storage, and database environments.

  • Oversee system upgrades, patch management, backups, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Collaborate with IT leadership to define infrastructure strategies and standards.

  • Lead infrastructure-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for systems, databases, and operational procedures.

  • Implement and monitor compliance with IT policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate with other DTS teams and business units to support cross-functional initiatives.

  • Identify and resolve operational issues proactively.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on team activities, risks, and accomplishments.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma required.

  • Five years proven, progressive experience in system or database administration or similar roles preferred.

  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments, SQL Server database environments, virtualization platforms, and/or scripting languages and automation tools.

  • Prior project management experience.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCE, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Linux+, or similar) preferred.

  • May be required to obtain and maintain relevant Epic certification(s).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).

Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.

Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
