As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you'll safely load, haul, and dump materials while optimizing cycle times. You'll collaborate with many different team members while working independently with minimal supervision. Prior experience with dozers, excavators, graders, and haul/water trucks is an asset.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment that work toward a common goal of loading, hauling and dumping

  • Safely built pioneer roads in native terrain

  • Load trucks safely and efficiently; set up dumps for optimal cycle times, striping and separating of organized materials for the loading units

  • Perform pre-trip inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities

  • Maintain equipment in excellent working condition, report and log maintenance needs

  • Communicate effectively with team members across different disciplines

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating various types of machinery including dozers, excavators, graders and water/haul trucks in a general construction, heavy civil or mining environment would be an asset

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • Valid MSHA P. 48 with surface, metal and non - metal

Work Conditions

  • Project based position working various rotation on days, working 12 hours per day

  • Overtime rates apply after 40 hours per week and are paid at time and a half

  • Living out allowance provided for those who qualify

  • Work will be primarily outdoors and in various weather conditions

  • Opportunity for long term employment

  • Anticipated start date: January 2026
