Pantheon Data was founded in 2011, initially providing acquisition and supply chain management services to the US Coast Guard. Position Overview

The Engineer III serves as a senior technical contributor and leader within cybersecurity-focused engineering efforts. This role oversees the development, integration, and verification of complex hardware, software, and data-driven systems supporting Navy cybersecurity and HM&E mission requirements. The engineer provides subject-matter expertise across systems engineering, secure development practices, and configuration management while ensuring all deliverables meet program, security, and quality standards. This position requires the ability to operate effectively within classified environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and guide engineering activities from planning through deployment.

Responsibilities



  • Lead engineering activities spanning system development, integration, testing, and verification to support cybersecurity-related capabilities and program objectives.
  • Oversee software and hardware integration tasks, ensuring alignment with technical baselines, security requirements, and RFP SOW specifications.
  • Develop, review, and maintain detailed test plans, test procedures, and test reports for system-level evaluations and validation activities.
  • Ensure high-quality configuration management by maintaining baselines, documenting changes, and verifying that all artifacts meet program documentation standards.
  • Coordinate with government and industry partners to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with Navy cybersecurity policies, and adherence to RMF processes.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of program documentation, including integration records, system reports, CM artifacts, and engineering analyses.
  • Provide on-site or remote engineering support as required, including potential CONUS/OCONUS travel.
  • Complete all Government-mandated security, cybersecurity, and operations trainings to maintain network and site access.


Required Skills and Experience



  • MS degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited program; ORMS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Sciences.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in engineering or in fields such
  • Strong systems engineering expertise, including leadership of integration, testing, and verification activities.
  • Proficiency with documentation and configuration management principles and practices.
  • Experience using industry and program-relevant tools, including Git, DOORS, SharePoint, Jenkins, and code quality/security tools such as SonarQube or Coverity.
  • Ability to produce high-quality deliverables such as test plans, test reports, integration records, and configuration management baselines.
  • Familiarity with Navy cybersecurity requirements, RMF processes, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.


Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Compensation

The salary range for this position up to $87,828. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
