Position Description
| Primary Purpose and Essential Functions |
The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences invites applications from dynamic scholars with expertise in molecular and cellular physiology and/or pharmacology committed to excellence in teaching and innovative research to join our collaborative faculty. This position has a primary teaching focus in physiology and pharmacology courses within high education programs of Doctor of Pharmacy, Ph.D. and M.S. of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Sciences, and Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Coordinating one or more courses in team-taught curriculum is required. The successful candidate will establish a robust, externally funded research program that complements and bolsters existing departmental research expertise while mentoring undergraduate, professional, and graduate students in laboratory and classroom settings. Academic advising for students of bachelor of pharmaceutical sciences, and Doctor of Pharmacy or pre-pharmacy is required. Serving on committees at departmental, school, and university level is expected. Active participation in departmental, school, and university events is expected. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collegially.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- A Ph.D. degree in Physiology, Pharmacology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related discipline should also have demonstrated expertise in teaching physiology and/or pharmacology.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Postdoctoral research experience is also desirable. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other researchers is a plus.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
- Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
