Airside Service Technician III

What you will do
Do you have HVAC experience?We are looking forHVAC systems service technicians who have experience in light commercial and/or heavy commercial markets to join our team and work with the most advanced heavy commercial and industrialcutting-edgeair handling equipment.

We will equip you with safety requirements, tools (additional certifications, as needed) and a vehicle to perform your job at the highest standard.

Under minimal supervision and/or leadership direction, you will work on the truck-based team, providing complete solutions to the clients' application needs and in addition, provide routine and complex periodic service, and inspections on Mechanical HVAC equipment and building systems at customer sites, regardless of the size or location of the HVAC mechanical air handling equipment being worked on.

How you will do it

• Install and supervise new Johnson Controls HVAC equipment (Air Handlers)

• Service and testing of existing HVAC equipment (non JCI included)

• Perform complex maintenance and service

• Troubleshooting, diagnose problems and provide solutions on total building systems

• Explain and educate customers on the appropriate use and operation of their HVAC equipment

• Documentation of work performed, generating work orders and job reports

• Lead other JCI servicemen at the customer site and act as the JCI liaison with the customer

What we look for

Required

• Associate degree or vocational certificate program and ten (10) years actual, practical working experience in the HVAC plumbing, pipefitting and/or mechanical equipment service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• In the absence of Associate degree, high school diploma or GED

• Ability to travel up to 100% of the work week

• Advanced working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning operating parameters with a strong foundation in electrical, controls, and refrigeration troubleshooting

• Valid driver's license

• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs

• The ideal candidate will have the ability to work alone but also well with others (Customers, team members) etc.

• Ability to work overtime as needed

Preferred

• 12+ years of HVAC mechanical experience

• Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Valid Passport for international travel. Johnson Controls will assist in the process if needed

• Refrigeration certification preferred

• EPA Universal Refrigerant certification

• Construction equipment certification

• OSHA 30 certification
