ChristianaCare is looking for a Medical Assistant I to join their Plastic Surgery team.

At ChristianaCare, our Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team is dedicated to restoring confidence, function and quality of life for patients affected by cancer, trauma or congenital conditions. Our surgeons provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, and complex trauma reconstruction, using advanced surgical techniques and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. This role is a split position between clinical and adminstrative duties.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30p

Duties / Responsibilities:

TheMedical Assistant Igreets and supports patients virtually and in person, prepares them for visits, performs basic clinical tasks (e.g., testing, injections, EKGs), assists with exams, and maintains exam rooms and equipment. They manage EMR updates, patient communications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling, while handling clerical duties, troubleshooting video visits, and supporting patient portal access.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

Hourly Pay Range: $19.10 - $27.69 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
