| Job Summary |
Oversee Classrooms Support operations; liaise with other departments to ensure their event media needs are taken care of. Coordinate classroom repairs and new installations; liaise with outside contractors to facilitate new equipment orders/repairs. Purchase new equipment as needed for event and classroom needs. Communicate with Faculty to notify them of changing procedures or problems with their classroom technology. |
| Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree and five years experience in media technology service, preferably in an education environment, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to stand, walk, push or pull equipment on cart with wheels, weighing up to 70 lbs., inside or between buildings. Maintain basic computer skills, knowledge of Email programs, word processing and spreadsheet software. Thorough knowledge of database of daily charts be able to input data. Advanced knowledge of AV equipment, ability to train others on equipment and how to identify which equipment is appropriate for the request and make recommendations to others. Train other levels in providing professional and courteous instruction to faculty & staff in the proper use & handling of AV equipment. Maintain oral & written skills to convey technical information, ideas and facts accurately, thoroughly, courteously and in a manner easily understood. |

| Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Supervising and reviewing work of subordinates including prioritizing and assigning both daily tasks and long term projects.
- Trains and develops subordinate staff.
- Instructs faculty and staff in use of equipment and systems.
- Develop, recommend, implement unit procedures and schedule subordinates' work week and unit projects.
- Manage the receipt and processing of requests for equipment from faculty, staff, and students.
- Determine availability of media equipment and arrange for delivery and pick-up after use.
- Plan and assign work to staff for events and classroom assignments, providing work direction and reviewing assignments for completion.
