Description
The Associate Business Intelligence Analyst works closely with other members of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to gather, analyze, and interpret data to help drive data-informed decision-making across eMoney. This role documents data sources, identifies trends, ensures cleanliness of data, and provides insights to be presented to business owners, stakeholders, and leadership. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide data-supported answers to key business issues. This position plays a vital role in supporting strategic initiatives through accurate and actionable data insights.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with other members of the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to understand the needs of the business and then utilize analytical and statistical methods to provide relevant insights.
- Gather and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Report results of analysis through documentation and presentations suitable for audiences of various backgrounds and needs.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate trends, patterns, and key metrics to stakeholders.
- Work with the Data and Analytics team to leverage and integrate, normalize, and provide governance of disparate data sources including enterprise systems, internal and third-party applications, and customer data.
- Maintain metadata dictionaries to assist in the governance of metrics and flow of data between systems.
- Generate, modify, and test hypotheses that explain observed results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline - math, statistics, data and analytics preferred or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years' experience in data science, statistical analysis, business intelligence, or related consultative role
Skills
- Ability to use, write, and optimize SQL queries in a business environment
- Working knowledge of data standards, policies, practices, and procedures that lead to improved data integrity
- Experience with business analysis, statistical modeling, and presenting insights via visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau)
- Ability to create new queries or modify existing reports or queries to help identify business or data operations issues and solutions for data and analytics initiatives and data quality
- Knowledge of appropriate analytic methods and specialized tools to generate insights, answer business questions, and fulfill project objectives
- Working knowledge of statistical analysis for development of variance exception logic
- Comfortable preparing and participating in the delivery of presentations and action recommendations that communicate complex material in layman's terms, guiding business owners on the interpretation, implications, and use of analytic results
- Self-motivated, enjoys working in a fast-paced, driven environment and collaborates efficiently as a team member
