Inova Cornwall Campus - Freestanding Emergency Department is seeking an experienced ED Nurse. Full time, days; 3-12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) with rotating weekends. - 35-50 patients a day, with approximately 20% pediatric patients

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities:
- Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team.
- Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner.
- Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes
- Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
- Education: BSN or AD. If RN has an AD, within 2 years from date of hire, they must meet with their nurse leader and conduct the following: 1.) Identify which accredited school they plan to attend 2.) Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date 3.) Submit a review of transcripts from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses 4.) Complete BSN within 5 years of start date
- License: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association; For Critical Care units, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire; For Pediatric units, Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Two (2) plus years Emergency Department (ED) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Other: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required
