Job Details

We are seeking a Director- Infusion to play a pivotal role in advancing Cencora's health system infusion service offering.

This role will engage directly with customers to develop new or optimize existing alternative sites of infusion and contribute to the strategic product roadmap for Cencora's infusion portfolio.

The ideal candidate combines client service and consulting expertise with a strategic mindset to drive successful engagements. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing projects, collaborating across internal and external teams, and fostering partnerships with health systems and hospitals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Customer and market facing activity:

  • Spearhead end-to-end client engagements to support health system in developing or optimizing alternative site infusion strategies, including feasibility assessments, business case development, implementation, and go-live support across AIC and HIT environments
  • Lead internal team of consultants to deliver high impact customer engagements, acting as the deep infusion expert to proactively identify and address client challenges, providing strategic and actional solutions
  • Maintains a deep understanding of industry trends, including macro-economic, customer, regulatory, technology, distribution channel, product, and competitive trends; identifies implications for the portfolio of responsible solutions
  • Represent Cencora at conferences and public events to build solution brand and promote organizational capabilities

Strategic elements:

  • Shape client delivery model including working with internal teams to develop analytics models, infusion operational resource tools, and thought leadership based on industry trends
  • Contribute to the strategic product roadmap for the infusion solution portfolio by helping define unmet market needs and ideating on opportunities for new solutions

Must be willing to travel 40%.

Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules, and regulations.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

  • Bachelor degree required, Ph. D. education preferred
  • Normally requires a minimum of 7+ years directly related and progressively responsible experience in infusion pharmacy, specialty pharmacy, healthcare distribution, hospital pharmacy operations, or other related field
  • Additional experience in client services and consulting organizations preferred
  • Previous experience working with IDN and Health Systems preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • A strategic thinker with proven ability to drive projects forward, identifying and addressing client operational challenges
  • Entrepreneurial and highly driven individual who can operate in a start-up-like environment, a do-er, not just a manager of work
  • Strong leaders with experience supporting junior teammates, comfortable providing feedback and coaching up others to achieve the desired outcome
  • Knowledgeable about the alternative infusion site marketplace, site operational dynamics, and financial drivers
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking and expresses ideas clearly, concisely, and logically
  • Ability to delegate effectively, enabling leader to work on several complex engagements simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
