Dec 20, 2025

The Department of Health Policy and Management of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health seeks applicants for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level, beginning February 1, 2026.

We seek scholars with a doctoral degree in health policy, or a closely related degree, such as experimental psychology, political science, sociology, or health services research. We define the term health policy quite broadly but are especially interested in candidates who conduct multiple research initiatives in health policy and geoscience. Areas of focus include postpartum health and Medicaid policy, epigenetic impacts of work-rewards and low-income tax programs, and long-term follow-up on education interventions. The successful candidate must also be able to teach courses in health policy and/or research methodology at the master's level.

The Department of Health Policy and Management has a multidisciplinary faculty that trains Masters level students in health policy and health administration. We maintain close ties with Columbia's Graduate School of Business, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, College of Physicians and Surgeons, and School of International and Public Affairs, as well as with many New York area healthcare delivery and research institutions.

To apply, please submit a curriculum vitae and contact information for three references.
