About Our Team

Lenovo is building Quantum, a next-generation hybrid AI platform that spans Windows, Android, and cloud. We are hiring for an AI Knowledge Engineering Lead/Manager role to build the trusted knowledge foundation that makes our AI explainable, grounded, and genuinely intelligent. Your work will directly impact millions of users across laptops, tablets, and mobile devices.


Location: Chicago, IL,

Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 days remote)


What You'll Do

  • Lead the design and implementation of knowledge architecture using semantic web technologies, vector and graph databases.
  • Pioneer the integration of knowledge graphs with LLMs, implementing GraphRAG architectures that ground AI responses.
  • Drive research into dynamic ontology engineering, leveraging LLM-assisted schema evolution and automated knowledge extraction
  • Build semantic layers and data fabrics that unify multimodal data across our AI ecosystem
  • Mentor a team of knowledge engineers and collaborate with AI researchers, data scientists, and product teams
  • Stay at the forefront of semantic AI-from LLM-KG integration to decision intelligence platforms

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years in knowledge engineering, semantic web, or related fields
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Technical discipline
  • Experience in knowledge graphs, ontologies, and semantic technologies
  • Programming Experience (Python, Java, Kotlin) with experience in graph query languages (SPARQL, Cypher)
  • Experience shipping production knowledge systems at scale
  • Passionate about knowledge organization and staying current with latest research
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with RAG architectures and LLM integration patterns

The base salary budgeted range for this position is $180K-$220K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
