Posting Summary
The Qualitative/Quantitative Behavioral Health Research Analyst supporting the Lister Research Team, will focus on contributing to academic writing, reporting, analysis, and dissemination. The analyst will contribute to a range of federal, state, and internal funded research initiatives related to behavioral health, addiction, health care, population health, rural health, and integrated care. Primary duties include:
* Contribute to the development of peer-reviewed manuscripts, research reports, and conference presentations.
* Coordinate timelines with team members across multiple concurrent research projects.
* Draft, edit, revise, and format dissemination products to align with target audience, style, and submission requirements.
* Contribute to conceptualization, conducting, and interpretation of advanced quantitative/qualitative analyses to ensure sufficient methodological rigor.
* Collaborate with the PI and Research Manager on study design, data interpretation, and methodological refinement.
* Prepare slide decks, figures, tables, and visual materials for audiences of diverse academic, health system, and governmental sectors.
* Manage journal submissions, including use of submission portals, responding to reviewer comments, and contributing to revision processes.
* Synthesize research findings into clear narratives for scholarly, technical, and policy-focused dissemination.
* Track progress of all dissemination products to ensure timely accomplishment of all deliverables.

Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D. Candidate ( ABD) or Master's degree with 3-5 years of experience after earning their terminal degree, in a health or social science related discipline (e.g., social work, public health, psychology, etc.); demonstrated competence in quantitative/qualitative research methods; experience contributing to peer-reviewed manuscripts; working knowledge of academic and technical report writing; ability to manage multiple writing and research projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with a research team; ability to contribute to and understand a wide range of research procedures along the timeline of development, collection, analysis, and interpretation of data.

Preferred Qualifications
Completed Ph.D. with a record of authorship on peer-reviewed publications; advanced experience coordinating multiple writing and research products; familiarity with grant funding mechanisms and technical reporting requirements; high-level proficiency with statistical, geospatial, and/or qualitative research software (e.g., Stata, SPSS, R, Python, NVivo, ATLAS.ti, ArcGIS) and methodologies (e.g., placed-based comparisons, clinical and community epidemiology, thematic analysis, systematic reviews, etc.); experience working with research teams and cross-sector partners; strong interdisciplinary or applied research background addressing social, behavioral, or public health outcomes.
