Job Description




As a Security Officer - Financial Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and responding to situations as needed. This armed role requires strong communication and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service, all while upholding our company values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming and secure environment for clients and visitors.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report observations following established protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and/or clients with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a visible presence.
  • Support access control measures and verify credentials as required for entry to restricted areas.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address incidents at the location.
  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
