The Team

JLL's Sustainability Team manages JLL's sustainability program, ensuring the firm delivers on our sustainability commitments and meets mandatory and voluntary ESG reporting requirements.

The team is seeking a Sustainability Reporting Manager to support the firm's ESG reporting obligations. The role reports to the Senior Director, Sustainability Reporting.

This role will join a newly forming team focused on supporting JLL's ESG reporting requirements including: materiality assessment and management, program management, ESG data acquisition, data improvement projects, responding to voluntary disclosures such as EcoVadis, CDP and others, and stakeholder engagement and planning. As a newly forming team implementing new strategies, this presents a challenging environment without established procedures and processes.

Candidates will need to possess a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and be willing to envision, map, and implement new processes with confidence, determination and diligence. You will be part of a wider team exposed to all aspects of JLL's sustainability program around the world.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of JLL's mandatory ESG reporting, including managing data gathering processes, documenting data flows, and engaging with internal stakeholders to acquire needed information.

  • Lead stakeholder engagement efforts for ESG reporting initiatives by managing internal working groups, scorecard processes, workshops, creating documents explaining disclosure requirements, and managing processes to meet disclosure deadlines.

  • Lead specific workstreams within our ESG reporting roadmap, collaborate across other workstreams, and coordinate engagement with corporate functions including Finance, Controllership, and Compliance to ensure alignment and timely completion.

  • Develop ESG reporting expertise by monitoring updates to the disclosure standards and emerging best practices. Inform strategy updates and provide input to corporate functions as applicable.

  • While this role is in a global team, it will have accountability for country-level requirements, local reporting obligations, regulatory oversight, and engagement with local teams.

  • Prepare sustainability disclosures required by the CSRD, other mandatory obligations, and voluntary reporting requirements including EcoVadis, CDP, and others.

  • Support data assurance for mandatory disclosures, collaborating with JLL ESG Controller and external audit firms.

  • Develop and refine voluntary and mandatory reporting strategy documents and implementation plans.

  • Support CSRD-aligned materiality assessments.

  • Support the internal process to manage issues, risks, and opportunities aligned with ESRS standards.

Relevant Experience:

  • 5+ years of sustainability experience, with a strong preference for experience in a corporate sustainability team (ideally for a Fortune 500 or similar company with a global footprint.)

  • Experience preparing ESG reports or disclosures.

  • Experience planning and managing multi-stakeholder projects, including the ability to steer and coordinate internal stakeholders, develop engagement materials and plans, and drive stakeholder meetings/processes to deliver results.

  • Familiarity with ESG data collection, management, and reporting technologies such as Microsoft Sustainability Manager and Workiva.

  • Understanding of and experience working with ESG data spanning environmental, social, and governance metrics.

  • Experience collaborating with external auditors for limited assurance.

  • Confident decision maker with strong analytical skills and solution development capabilities.

  • Experience and proven track record of establishing new enterprise processes in large, diverse organizations.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Strong communication skills with proven ability to develop relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to drive consistency in a team or on a project while working at speed.

  • Ability to document interactions and follow established work processes to track and report program progress.

  • Proficiency using project management tools such as project charters, scorecards, Gantt charts, and risk registers.
