As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to respond promptly to situations while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols specific to armed patrol posts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and observe for unusual or suspicious activity in and around the location.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to established protocols.
• Assist with emergency situations, including evacuation or lockdown procedures, as needed.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel as required.
• Follow all procedures for handling and carrying firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
