Position Overview

Diamond Parking is seeking an IT Manager to lead day-to-day IT operations and ensure stable, secure, and scalable technology services across a distributed footprint (remote offices and revenue-producing field locations). This role owns IT execution-people, process, vendors, infrastructure, security, and delivery-while partnering closely with Operations and Finance.

What You'll Do

IT Leadership & Service Ownership

  • Lead and coach a small internal IT team (service desk through engineering), setting priorities, standards, and accountability.
  • Establish practical service management: intake, triage, escalation, root-cause follow-up, and clear communication to the business.
  • Drive documentation, runbooks, and durable operational processes that reduce single points of failure.

Infrastructure & Operations

  • Own core systems uptime and reliability: networking, firewalls/VPN, Wi-Fi, servers/virtualization, backups, identity, endpoint management, and core applications.
  • Oversee distributed site connectivity and vendor coordination for revenue-critical locations.
  • Define and execute lifecycle management: patching, upgrades, hardware refresh, and configuration standards.

Security & Risk Management

  • Own security posture and remediation cadence (vulnerability management, hardening, access controls, incident response readiness).
  • Maintain backups/DR strategy and test restoration procedures.

Vendor, Budget, and Project Delivery

  • Manage vendor performance (MSP, telco/ISP, SaaS, and field technology providers) with measurable outcomes.
  • Build and manage IT budgets; identify cost/risk tradeoffs and practical investment plans.
  • Lead projects from planning through implementation (multi-site rollouts, platform improvements, standardization initiatives).

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years in a lead/manager role (or equivalent ownership of an IT function).
  • Strong hands-on background across core IT domains: networking (routing/switching, firewalls, VPN), systems, identity, endpoint management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting multi-site operations and coordinating vendors across remote locations.
  • Proven ability to build/restore operational hygiene: documentation, patching discipline, monitoring, backups, and repeatable processes.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to brief executives and align stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with: Fortinet (or comparable firewall stack), VMware (vSphere/vCenter and VMware networking), Microsoft 365/Azure (identity, endpoint, security), and backup/DR platforms.
  • Familiarity with payment-adjacent environments and practical risk management in revenue operations.
  • Scripting/automation mindset (PowerShell or similar) and strong problem management instincts.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Office-based role with occasional lifting/handling of IT equipment and periodic site visits.

Salary: We maintain broad salary ranges for our roles in order to account for variations in experience, training skills, geographic location, and market conditions, as well as to reflect our differing products and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting.
