Peachford Hospital is Atlanta and North Georgia's most comprehensive psychiatric and behavioral health facility providing care to patients and their families struggling with mental health and addictive disease. Our hospital treats patients aged 5 to 95 with all levels of care including crisis stabilization and adult, adolescent/child and geriatric psych. We also offer a wide range of outpatient services including partial hospitalization and ECT.

• an understanding of mental illness or addictive disease and its effects on people
• the ability to interact with patients of all cognitive levels with histories of trauma
• the ability to interact with staff, leaders and physicians at all leaders
• the ability to direct and lead co-workers to completing assigned tasks
• patience and understanding
• the desire and ability to keep our patients safe...

With a variety of shifts and schedules available, and eight different nursing units to choose from, we are certain we can find a patient population for you to work with and the be the front line leader to those to whom you are assigned.

While we will definitely train you to be the best, there are a few minimum requirements for this position such as being a graduate of an accredited nursing program.

To be a successful Charge Nurse, we feel at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a psych setting is the best. Previous charge or other leadership experience is certainly a plus.

Of course, a State of Georgia or eCompact Multi-State Nursing License is required.
