Position Summary: Job Responsibilities: *Design and perform optimization and discrete event simulation analyses under the supervision of the Center of Surgical and Transplant Applied Research (C-Star) leadership team *Serve as an optimization analyst to the Center of Surgical and Transplant Applied Research (C-Star), using a range of systems including the Scientific Registry for Transplant Recipients' Organ Allocation Simulators, transplantation registry data, optimization software such as IBM ILOGOPL/CPLEX, and general programming languages including Python. *Contribute original thoughts, hypotheses, and analysis to write reports, abstracts and manuscripts under faculty supervision *Support grant proposal submissions and support funder reports for NIH funded studies *Liaise with senior researchers at other institutions to conduct analyses on behalf of national scientific committees *Prepare interim reports to summarize ongoing cohort studies for principal investigators, study staff, and data safety and monitoring boards *Under faculty supervision, design analytical strategies for research proposals and draft optimization and simulation analysis plans for grants *Performs miscellaneous job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $85,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
