A higher wage would only be offered based on direct court-related or legal experience (i.e., such as that with a law firm). This position is eligible for overtime compensation for all hours worked over 40 in the designated work week. As the Courtroom Clerk, you'll be responsible for recording and memorializing court proceedings by attending court sessions, communicating oaths with witnesses and juries, and maintaining exhibits offered in a courtroom as evidence. You will be right in the center of the courtroom action, working very closely with the judge and courtroom assistant. The functions performed by this position ensure there is an objective record of events to facilitate the judicial process and expedite resolution pursuant to A.R.S. SS12-283.
