About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Practitioner to join our Medical Gore Business System (GBS) office to tackle some of the most challenging obstacles as we transform Gore Medical. In this commitment, you will be a key partner for our Commercial sales and marketing organization to drive global adoption of the Gore Business System. As a GBS Specialist you will collaborate with, influence and coach leaders and teams to develop and empower associates, improve processes and solve problems. This role is critical in delivering sustainable results and improving more lives. This role is critical in delivering improved business outcomes by embedding lean principles and continuous improvement practices throughout the organization to deliver sustainable results and improve more lives. This position will be located at one of our facilities in either in Elkton, Maryland, Phoenix or Flagstaff, Arizona, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement.
Compensation Data
- $102,000- $170,000 per year
- Roles above $150k are eligible for the variable pay program each fiscal year, based on defined business performance metrics

Responsibilities
- Support Gore Business Systems (GBS) implementation across Gore Medical
- Facilitate teams in Kaizen and rapid process-improvement, from problem identification through solution implementation and successful monitoring
- Utilize data, best practices, and prior Continuous Improvement deployment experience to identify performance gaps, work with local leaders to develop and execute improvement plans
- Utilize a structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, identify improvement opportunities, and deploy appropriate Lean tools to resolve
- Coach others to create and execute methods to promote desired process-improvement behavior
- Support development and delivery of GBS tools and training content
- Continuously expand knowledge of process improvement through external benchmarking
- Actively support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in alignment with Gore's Culture and Principles
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Ops Management, or Minimum 5 years of successful Operations Leadership and or Continuous Improvement work history
- Minimum of 3 years' experience implementing continuous improvement, Lean, and/or six sigma applications
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to transparently communicate and relate to people at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to coach, lead and influence both individually and broadly across the division (including leading leaders)
- Demonstrated lean or operational excellence proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training materials, simulations, and exercises
- Proven ability to facilitate kaizen, diverse problem solving and improvement events
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Travel up to 25%
Desired Qualifications
- Experience applying Lean in non-manufacturing environments
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
- Experience in a regulated industry
