Software Engineering Intern (Summer 2026) Location: McLean, VA (Hybrid) Duration: June 15, 2026 - August 21, 2026 Pay Rate: $25/hour Role Summary: Exiger is seeking a curious, collaborative, and technically driven Software Engineering Intern to join our Product Engineering team for Summer 2026. Reporting to experienced engineering leaders and paired with a dedicated mentor, this intern will work on real product initiatives across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to scalable, high-quality solutions used by customers around the world. This is a full-time, paid internship designed to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in enterprise SaaS engineering. The role is based in McLean, VA and follows a hybrid schedule with regular in-office collaboration. What You'll Do: As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver meaningful product enhancements: Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment Analyze requirements, workflows, and technical challenges to design effective, maintainable solutions Write clean, efficient, scalable, and reusable code following best practices and engineering standards Design, build, debug, and enhance new and existing application components Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and documentation Collaborate within an Agile development environment, iterating quickly and incorporating feedback Stay current on emerging technologies and apply them thoughtfully to assigned projects Engineering interns will select from a set of defined projects with clear success criteria, aligned to their skill level and development goals.
