Job Description




As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Brookhaven, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment. You will interact with team members and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and people-focused workplace.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for logistics and distribution environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related threats and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, including assisting with evacuations and/or coordinating with emergency services.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment within the logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
