Summary Job Description: Baptist Health is looking a Facility CDI Specialist to join their team. This is a remote work position that requires residency in KY or IN The Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of physiciandocumentation utilizing their clinical expertise to ensure the patients' severity of illness is accuratelyportrayed in the medical record for specificity and accuracy of diagnosis and procedure coding. The CDISpecialist provides guidance to the providers, nursing, and ancillary staff on clinical documentation best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing with certification as a Clinical DocumentationSpecialist and/or CertifiedDocumentation Integrity Specialist. In lieu of bachelor's degree, Associate degree in Nursing with five years acute healthcare nursing experience with certification as a Clinical DocumentationSpecialist and/or certifiedDocumentation Integrity Specialist.
