As Manager of Sustainability & Community Impact, you will lead the development and execution of strategic communications that position Ecolab as a global leader in sustainability and community impact. You will drive marketing and communications initiatives within the Corporate Sustainability Marketing and Community Impact teams including developing press releases, email communications, and internal and external media; writing content for Growth & Impact Report resources, awards & recognition applications, and speaking engagements; preparing materials for events and supporting event coordination through communications; develop and lead communications supporting employee volunteerism, the Ecolab Foundation and corporate giving, and collaborating closely with Ecolab's Global Communications team on strategy, and execution of sustainability-related communications.

This role reports to the Vice President of Water Partnerships & Community Impact, serves as a key communications partner to Ecolab's Chief Sustainability Officer, and collaborates across the Sustainability, Community Impact, Corporate Communications, and Global Marketing teams. This position requires a strategic communications leader who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, manage multiple stakeholders, and drive measurable business impact.

What You Will Do:

Executive Communications Support:

  • Prepare briefing materials and coordinate communication opportunities for the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) and Vice President of Water Partnerships and Community Impact.
  • Develop compelling content and provide strategic counsel for executive communications, including internal messages, external media engagements, and thought leadership pieces.
  • Coordinate executive participation in key events by preparing presentation materials and coordinating communication logistics.
  • Draft and refine content for awards, recognition applications, and speaking engagements for sustainability and community impact leaders.

Corporate Sustainability Communications:

  • Develop and execute strategic communication initiatives that reinforce Ecolab's brand as a global leader in sustainability.
  • Craft compelling content for key external channels, including press releases, external media, and the annual Growth & Impact Report.
  • Lead the strategic positioning of Ecolab's sustainability achievements through content for industry awards and recognition programs.

Community Impact Communications:

  • Develop and lead the communication strategy and planning for major enterprise-wide Community Impact campaigns, including goal-setting and success measurement (including Global Giving Month, Employee Giving, International Volunteer Week, and Foundation Impact Reports).
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive communications editorial calendar, coordinating cross-functional messaging for global days of recognition.
  • Create and disseminate engaging communications and compelling promotional assets, driving an increase in employee giving and volunteerism.
  • Monitor and analyze engagement across all Community Impact communication channels, leveraging insights to continuously optimize content and strategy for maximum impact
  • Cultivate and manage joint communication initiatives and campaigns directly with external Foundation/NGOs and grant partners, strategically amplifying shared impact and enhancing the Ecolab brand.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with Ecolab's Global Communications team by contributing to global campaigns and content development for sustainability topics.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field
  • 5 years of progressive communications experience, with demonstrated success in corporate communications, sustainability, or related fields
  • Immigration sponsorship not available for this role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop compelling communication strategies with clear and measurable goals
  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • A versatile writer, with an ability to tailor content for audiences and channels
  • Fluent in all aspects of internal and external communications, including strategy, script writing, speaker briefs, press releases, social media content, change management, planning and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make strategic recommendations
  • Experience with executive communications development
  • A global mindset and/or experience working as part of a global team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with concurrent and flexible priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business acumen, with an interest in both learning and communicating about complex topics
  • Critical listening skills and the ability to translate ideas, feedback and thoughts into action/content

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $96,700.00 - $145,100.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
