Strategic Communication Planner

The Opportunity:

Provide on-site DoD Front Office support during normal business hours. Coordinate with government personnel and execute public relations or public affairs tasks harnessing professional expertise in the military, joint warfighting, and event and project management. Interpret technical, C4, or cyber-specific ideas and concepts into broad themes and link them to the National Defense Strategy (NDS), National Military Strategy (NMS), the Capstone Concept for Joint Operations (CCJO), and authoritative government documents and sources. Draft fact-based, well-researched, persuasive, and high-impact messages and other textual and editorial content for various internal and external stakeholders and audiences. Maintain situational awareness of C4 or cyber issues and work collaboratively with military staff action officers to create, iterate, and update deliverables from inception to acceptance and approval by the organizational Director and Vice Director.

You Have:

  • Experience in strategic communications, public relations, C4 or cyber, or executive-level support

  • Knowledge of concepts, principles, practices, methods, strategies, tools, or tactics used in commercial, including the industry and private sector, and government PR, PA, strategic communications, events, and project management

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with the Joint Staff or in a military joint environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines, with mid-level, senior military, and civilian staff in a highly professional environment

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
