We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC SUMMARY: Assembles fabricated parts. Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications and work instructions.Identifiesunits that fail tests or tolerance levels andrepairsas necessary. Final inspection of parts for quality. Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using hand tools, and electronic and pneumatic tooling. Report defective products or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition andfollowsprescribed safety regulations. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines asrequiredper preventative maintenance. Follow work instructions. Ability to read blueprints and assemble product fromblueprint. Final inspector for all parts; test, check quality and proper dimensions. Pre-package products for shipments. Log jobs intosystem. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Must be able to work at speed and production numbers with a minimum of errors. Other duties as assigned. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsenseunderstanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Work Arrangement : Onsite Pay Range: $19.20 - $21.60per hour Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
