The role of the Lead Nursing Faculty - Certification & Licensure Coordinator will provide leadership and support for all aspects of the program related to preparing students for the Certification Exam in their specialty to maximize first time pass rates. This includes planning and delivering development to the faculty team to make certification preparation holistic in the classroom experience as well as preparing students throughout their lifespan. The role includes regular collaboration with system and campus leadership. The teaching assignment will include a preparation course in addition to other courses as appropriate.

This position is on-site at the Nashville, TN campus.

Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in nursing, doctorate preferred.
  • Experience in preparing students for Certification Exam.
  • Currently hold an active and unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Tennessee.
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience, with at least 2 years preferred.


Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match. The salary range for this position is $62,200 to $95,000.

Physical Requirements:



  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Ability to move about readily and rapidly, if necessary, around campus, classrooms, clinical settings, etc., to access classrooms, desks, students, office machinery, clinics, patients, etc.
  • Constantly communicates using the spoken word with students, staff and colleagues.
  • Visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess.
  • Operate equipment specific to programmatic track, personal computer, audio-visual equipment, clinical equipment, etc.
  • Travel to off-site meetings or conferences or to observe students during clinical education at off-site clinical settings.
  • In addition to the above requirements, for programs that include a clinical component, all faculty must be able to:

    • Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
    • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects.
    • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters.
    • Lift up to 25 pounds.
