What's the role?

The Inside Sales Specialist generates incremental revenue, by means of inbound and outbound calls, through the sale of Service Agreements. Future responsibilities may include sales of product add-ons including, but not limited to optional software. The Inside Sales Specialist has wide-range of experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Contact the purchasing point-of-contact, furnishes product cost benefits, ROI information and provides follow-up through close of sales to meet established sales targets.
  • Negotiates final pricing and terms with purchasing point-of-contact.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills through business planning and customer presentations.
  • Collaborates with field sales and service to drive new service business, existing renewal and warranty extensions, and product feature add-ons.
  • Assess customer needs and proposes solutions to meet those needs to close sales.
  • Expected to write sales presentations and review customer needs based on age of equipment and financial exposure.
  • Accurately forecasts business in a defined territory
  • Maintain records of customer contacts in a CRM database.
  • Provide on-going updates to field service and sales personnel regarding sales opportunities, customer concerns, and other relevant information, to facilitate new business.
  • Keep updated records of win-loss sales events.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product offerings, marketing programs and promotions.
  • Provide input for developing training curriculum and training tools including, but not limited to, self-learning and web learning
  • Meet and exceed minimum department call volume standards and department metrics.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Will be expected to offer guidance to other personnel, and lead teams and projects.
  • Promote effective communication channels with both Field and in-house staff to facilitate the efficient day-to-day execution of job responsibilities
  • Recommends changes to sales strategy, based on customer feedback, specifically targeting Lead Generation, Fact Finding, Follow-up, and Closing
  • Participate in Trade Shows.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of demonstrated inside or outside sales experience, preferably in the medical capital equipment marketplace.
  • Ability to effectively initiate and manage outbound/inbound sales calls.
  • Ability to engage in consultative selling dialogue with emphasis on business impact (ROI, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills and professional telephone skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Solid time management and organizational skills with ability to follow through.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative, and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Salesforce.

The starting hourly base salary for this position is $37.50 plus sales commission.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
