Salary: $150,000- $175,000 plus bonus

The Opportunity:
We are partnering with a rapidly expanding, high-growth confectionary manufacturer in Long Island to find a Controller who will serve as the financial heartbeat of the organization.
Reporting to executive leadership, you will oversee all financial operations in a fast-paced production environment. This isn't a "back-office" role; you will be a strategic partner to production, supply chain, and sales teams, driving performance and optimizing cost structures to support our continued expansion.

Your Impact
  • Financial Stewardship: Lead the end-to-end preparation of financial statements (GAAP), maintain the general ledger, and deliver the performance dashboards that guide executive decision-making.
  • Cost Accounting Mastery: Own the standard costing, BOM accuracy, and overhead allocation. You will analyze production yields, scrap, and waste to drive continuous improvement on the factory floor.
  • Operational Partnership: Collaborate with operations to evaluate new product costs and pricing strategies, ensuring maximum margin optimization for every piece of chocolate we produce.
  • Inventory & Control: Oversee inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes while enforcing rigorous internal controls across procurement and finance.
  • Cash & Treasury Management: Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and ROI analysis for significant capital expenditures in new equipment and facilities.
  • Systems Optimization: Lead the evolution of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central environment, implementing automation and best practices for data integrity.

The Ideal Profile
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance leadership, with a heavy emphasis on manufacturing (Food & Beverage/CPG experience is a major plus).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep mastery of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management.
  • Systems Fluency: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is highly preferred.
  • The "Hands-On" Mindset: You are comfortable in a fast-paced production environment and have a passion for operational excellence.
  • Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA designations are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA or SQF compliance frameworks is a significant advantage.
