Position Purpose
The Senior Associate Director of Annual Giving Engagement advances Tuck's mission by leading initiatives to grow alumni participation, strengthen engagement-especially among recent graduates-and support annual fundraising goals. Working closely with the Senior Director of Annual Giving and the Annual Giving and Alumni Engagement teams, the Senior Associate Director designs and executes innovative strategies that inspire alumni to give, connect, and stay involved with Tuck. Building on Tuck's exemplary majority giving culture, the Senior Associate Director will bring a fresh lens and be willing to try new strategies to ensure Tuck maintains the highest giving participation in higher education. The role combines creativity, relationship-building, and data-informed decision-making to expand the base of annual supporters and enhance the culture of participation.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  1. 7 or more years of experience in annual giving, alumni engagement, or related development work.
  2. Demonstrated success in driving participation and building engagement
  3. Strong communication, organizational, and volunteer management skills.
  4. Experience collaborating across teams and working with volunteers.
  5. Proficiency with donor databases, CRM systems, and digital fundraising tools.
  6. Able to anticipate, deliver on, and exceed the expectations of alumni, alumni class officers and volunteers, colleagues, supervisees, and other constituents.
  7. Able to introduce and drive innovation in ways small and large.
  8. Able to collaborate with others as primary means to achieve results.
  9. Able to seek out and create learning opportunities, including through those revealed by setbacks and failures as well as successes.

Description
Participation and Engagement Strategy: Develops and implements strategies to increase alumni participation across all cohorts, with a particular focus on recent alumni and first-time donors. Leads initiatives that integrate philanthropy into the student and alumni experience. Tracks participation metrics, analyzes donor behavior, and identifies trends to inform outreach strategies. Collaborates with the Alumni Engagement team to align giving campaigns with engagement programming and communications.

Gift Solicitation and Commitments: Manages a portfolio of alumni prospects and classes with the goal of cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding annual gifts. Identifies and cultivates donor prospects. Partners with class agents, volunteers, and the Annual Giving team to strengthen solicitation efforts and donor retention. Supports reunion giving and class-based campaigns with targeted strategies to improve participation and revenue outcomes.

Team and Volunteer Management: Manages associate director. Collaborates across Tuck Advancement and other campus partners on participation efforts. Recruits, trains, and supports alumni volunteers to serve as class agents and peer solicitors. Provides strategic guidance and tools to help volunteers achieve fundraising and participation goals.

Description
Innovation and Program Support: Identifies engagement approaches to expand reach among alumni audiences, leveraging technology and other tools. Partners with Advancement Communications to develop messaging that emphasizes participation, community, and impact. Contributes to planning and execution of annual giving campaigns, events, and stewardship programs.
