Responsibilities:





  • Assist production and maintenance with various types of control system and process issues from an engineeringperspective with an emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of systems.






  • Provide technicalassistanceand resolution when automation problems areencounteredinproductionenvironment.






  • Providetechnicalexpertiseand solutions for Industrial InformationTechnology aspects of the business






  • Complete projects as assigned and within theobjectivesand scopedesignatedby Maintenance and Reliability Manager.






  • Managethe Electrical Technician group and prioritize controls improvements.






  • Providevision and development for the industrial controlsthatsupportbusiness needs andassociates.






  • Apply professional concepts in creative ways in working on assignments.






  • Plan, organize, schedule,and provide reports as needed to complete assignments.






  • Assist NPD Engineers on new product development.






  • Manage Capital Projects using standardproject management techniques.Request capital using theAuthorization for Expenditure (AFE) process to purchase custom, as well as,commercially available equipment from a variety of suppliers.






  • Demonstratesolid judgment within broadly defined guidelines.






  • Provide guidance to hourly associates on projects.






  • Providetechnical guidance and direction to maintenance and subcontractor personnel to ensureaccurateand efficient job completion.






  • Complete project work as assigned related to cost savings efforts or improvements and to replace obsolete components or equipment. Initiate and/or manage cost reductions and process improvement projects.Identifycost reduction opportunities, estimate cost impact, research availablesolutionsand implement






  • Ensurethat Hollister ispreparedin the event ofdisaster to recover software and programming. Ensure availability of spare parts for critical machine components.






  • Review existing equipment andidentifymodifications which improve functional reliability, reduce waste anddowntimeand/or reduce maintenance parts costs.






  • Collect,analyzeand present Engineering data to evaluate projects.






  • Solve complex problems with in-depth evaluation of factors.






  • Participate in safety reviews of new equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and Hollister safety standards.






  • Display a sense of urgency and support for Hollister and site initiatives.






  • Evaluate industrial technology, standards, and availability of commercial components and equipment to analyze/recommend vendors and prepare bid specifications.






  • Identify,evaluateand introducenew technologyto existing processes to maximize process effectiveness.






  • Responsible for achieving competency in all identified skill requirements outlined inassociated trainingprofilefor position.






  • Otherduties andtasks asassigned.













  • Prolonged periods of sitting






  • Ability tointerface witha computer forlong periodsof time






  • Frequentlylift upto 20 pounds






  • Frequent movement over large manufacturing floor areas






  • Occasional exposure to oily/dirty, dusty, hot/cold extreme temperatures,and noisy environment






  • Occasional workwith high voltage system






  • Regular use of PPE: hearing, eye, head, feet, hands and general body protective clothing and gear






  • Work on elevated platforms, use ladders and lifts






  • Operate automotive vehicles






  • Operate production and maintenance-related equipment and machinery






  • Use electronic instruments, handtoolsand power tools






  • Flexible work schedule with varying start/stop times across all shifts as needed






  • Strong communicationskills- communicates effectively to allfacetsof the organization - from hourly associatestosenior management






  • Able to shape the outcome of corporate driven projects as a team member





Work Experience Requirements





  • Number ofOverallYearsNecessary: 8-12






  • Engineering project experience in a manufacturing environment preferred





Education Requirements





  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related disciplinerequired,Master'sdegree preferred





Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:





  • Familiarity with industrial controls equipmentincluding Siemens S7,Allen Bradley, Control Logics,505, and Rockwell PLCs






  • Programming skills (PLC, PC, HMI, vision, robot, etc.)






  • Creation and interpretation of electricaldrawings and schematicsproficiency






  • Microsoft Office, intermediate to expert level user in all applications






  • CAD experience preferred
