Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol Driver in North Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This position involves both armed and driving responsibilities. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and innovation in a caring and people-focused environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the educational facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting any concerns according to site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and granting entry to authorized individuals as required.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
  • Work collaboratively with site staff and local law enforcement when necessary to address security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Must have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
