Security Officer - Armed Plant Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Plant Patrol in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at this chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your duties. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service and communication, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols appropriate for an armed post.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, including areas with chemical and petrochemical operations, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain awareness of site-specific hazards and protocols related to chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activities as required by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders as situations require.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
