Summary/Objective The Project Executive is responsible for operations leadership overseeing and managing construction projects within the government contracting sector for all aspects of ensuring successful projects including a positive referral / rating from clients and a positive experience for subcontractors, vendors, consultants, design teams, and industry partners. This role requires strategic leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The Project Executive will collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project success and maintain high-quality standards. Will work closely with upper management and project team members to support project managers, superintendents and other project team members to establish project needs, vision, goals, deadlines, and budgets. Will delegate tasks and be responsible for motivating the team and resolving conflicts between team members to ensure a productive work environment. The Project Executive will work on employee development and process improvement. Other Responsibilities * Support business development efforts, including proposal development and contract negotiations. * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements. * Project Organization - assist in developing preconstruction packages, conduct project meetings, set project milestones and establish project specific schedules. * Subcontractor Relations - ensure Project Teams; maintain subcontractor relations, approve and process pay applications in an accurate and timely manner, closeout projects timely, ensure fair treatment, etc. * Contract/Scope Review - Review contract documents, scope, drawings, specifications. * Monitor and ensure project teams are in compliance with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes and timelines. * Quality Control - develop and implement project specific Quality Control Plan, ensure subcontractors and in-house personnel adhere to strict quality control standards. * Cost Management - ensure Project Teams; adhere to company financial procedures, complete accurate forecast, and maintain financial goals. * Safety - Enforce NDC Safety Plans, establish and maintain clear communication with all related parties on specific projects safety requirements. * Field and Office Communications - always maintain open communication including site visits and utilizing effective means of communication with all project stakeholders including organizing and saving documents per company policy. * Identify changes or updates to subcontract terms and conditions, exhibits, formats, methods of subcontracts (e.g. Short Form, Abbreviated, Purchase Order, etc.) and bring them to executive leadership for consideration. * Training - participate in the development and implementation of company training program. For assigned projects, responsible for training/mentor project team members. * Company initiative - participate in and assist executive leadership with identifying, developing, roll-out, and implementation of company initiatives (e.g. resource planning, project management applications, scheduling, performance metrics, dashboards, etc.) * Foster and drive company culture to continue to grow the business. * Recruitment - participate in job fairs and other recruitment initiatives. Supervisory Responsibility Supervises Sr Project Mangers, Sr. Superintendents, Sr. Quality Control, and Operations Liaison Work Environment * Indoor Environment: Most of the work will be in a professional office environment, sitting and standing, working with a computer, iPad, phone, printers, etc. * Outdoor Environment: Occasionally work will be conducted outdoors, exposed to the elements. This includes working in hot, cold, rainy, or windy conditions. Appropriate clothing and safety gear will be provided to help mitigate environmental risks. Expected Hours of Work Construction projects often follow strict timelines. As a result, you may be required to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines. After-hours work is common during peak construction phases. Travel Depending on the project, workers may be required to travel to different job sites, which could be located in urban, rural, or industrial areas. Some projects may involve overnight stays or travel for remote locations. Required Education and Experience
