Overview The Windows and Devices (W&D) Finance organization is a key driver of Microsoft's strategic mission, partnering across product, engineering, and business teams to deliver financial leadership and enable innovation. Within this organization, the Hardware & Margins Finance team manages a diverse and dynamic Hardware portfolio-including Surface Devices, Xbox Hardware, and Accessories-working closely with Hardware Development, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations to set and achieve ambitious financialobjectives. Responsibilities Provide finance business partnership to respective supply chain functions such as sourcing, inventory planning, freight and logistics, warehousing, and distribution. Provide key drivers through monthly management reporting, influence business decisions with insights and recommendations, drive ownership and accountability with KPIs. Advise senior management on the financial impact of various alternatives and recommend preferred course of action to drive strategic business decisions. Collaborate effectively with cross functional teams of accounting, supply chain, operations, and engineering functions to align supply chain objectives and initiatives with the overall business goals and vision. Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation across the supply chain network. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for the supply chain operations, such as rates performance, inventory balance and supply, return on investment etc. Own the financial reporting/planning/budgeting/forecasting and analysis processes of respective finance areas. Focus on continuous improvement and process excellence, simplify and automate processes, systems and tools in respective areas. Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience. Additional or preferred qualifications 3+ years of experience in finance / business and/or product planning. Experience in supply chain, related business modeling, P&L management, and inventory management preferred. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, have attention to detail, and work effectively under deadlines. Familiarity with MS Finance and supply chain tools and processesa definiteplus. Proficiency on MS Excel and SAP Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management Must be extremely collaborative and comfortable dealing with ambiguity, influencing across multiple complex organizations, creating effective internal business partnerships Ability to independently lead teams and execute on functional responsibilities with minimal guidance and oversight Ability to think strategically and communicate effectively with all levels of management, with the capability to guide, educate and influence the thinking of senior decision makers. Financial Analysis IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 - $151,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,800 - $168,000 per year.
