General Purpose:




This position is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and inventorying incoming parts and maintaining an accurate spare parts inventory. Follows up on orders and prepares and files all purchasing-related documentation. Prepares and completes reports as required. Ability to maintain and update daily maintenance work orders through the system. Ability to organize work orders and assist the Maintenance department in the assignment of maintenance on equipment, making available parts for projects.




Duties and Responsibilities:





  • Receiving and Inventory. Perform receiving against purchase orders in SAP.
  • Perform monthly physical inventory as well as maintain inventory in the SAP system.
  • Assist the purchasing agent in any area as directed by the purchasing specialist.
  • Generate inventory reports monthly from SAP as requested.
  • ISO Duties
  • Follow all ISO policies as required.
  • All other ISO duties as required.
  • Organize and inventory the parts storage area.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, so that purchasing can effectively order with the best prices as well as the best delivery terms.
  • Maintain the inventory on the EAM / SAP system.
  • Back up Purchasing agent in any absence if needed


Hours 8 am-4 pm



  • Adhere to all DFA Quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA Safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Adhere to all DFA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity
  • Other duties assigned by management




Required Minimum Qualifications:


Education and Experience



  • High School Degree or Educational Equivalent
  • Three years' experience in material requirements planning, parts control, and or maintenance technician



Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities





  • Working knowledge of: SAP, EAM, Excel, and Word.
  • Ability to keep precise inventory records.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively on an individual basis as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to interact positively with DFA personnel and visitors to the facility.
