Medical Receptionist - Women's Services (Front & Back Office) Location: Arlington, VA (On-site at Virginia Hospital Center / VHC Health) Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 Months) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM About the Role Virginia Hospital Center (VHC Health) is seeking a customerfocused Medical Receptionist to support the Women's Services team at its main Arlington campus. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and will provide both front and back office support to ensure smooth clinic operations. This role is ideal for someone with prior healthcare experience who enjoys working directly with patients in a fastpaced clinical environment. Responsibilities Front Office Support * Greet and register patients at the front desk. * Verify insurance coverage. * Assist patients with automated registration kiosks. * Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments. * Escort or guide patients to the appropriate exam rooms. Back Office Support * Make follow-up calls to patients. * Respond to patient emails and appointment requests. * Schedule appointments as needed. * Complete insurance authorization tasks. * Provide additional administrative support as assigned. Required Qualifications * At least 1 year of healthcare experience. * Strong customer service skills. * Experience with patient registration. * EMR experience; EPIC strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of medical terminology. * Administrative experience in a medical or clinical setting. * Prior Epic experience. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Arlington, VA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
