Location: Jackson, MI Inpatient/Outpatient: 5% inpatient | 95% outpatient Case Load: 100% Adult Position Overview: Henry Ford Health Jackson is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Rheumatology team in a contingent capacity. This position is ideal for APPs currently practicing in family medicine, internal medicine, other medical specialties, or orthopedics who are interested in rheumatologic care. The APP will manage an average of 16-18 clinic patients per day in an outpatient setting, providing high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a day-shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. New graduates will not be considered. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical experience, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to care delivery. Schedule - Contingent. Day shift. 7a-430p Weekend requirement - No. Call requirement - No. OR Time - No. Qualifications: * NP - Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) * PA - Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) * NP - Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan * PA - Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Licensure and Certification * Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application) * National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA) * Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. * DEA/CSL, required through credentialing. * DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL. Experience * APPs working currently in family medicine, other medicine specialties, or ortho. * EPIC Experience, preferred. Skills * Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. * Commitment to patient-centered are and continuous professional development.
