What You'll Do

This role focuses on extracting semantic meaning from C and SystemC execution traces and translating them into timealigned power features used by the tracedriven power and thermal simulation pipeline. A solid knowledge of computer architectures is required.

Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA office in alignment with our Flexible Work policy

Reports to:SVP, R&D (Power & Thermal Lab)



  • Analyze C and SystemClevel execution and memoryaccess traces from GPU/TPU workloads.
  • Define and implement trace semantics relevant to power and thermal behavior.
  • Design featureextraction pipelines that map workload activity to power macromodel inputs.
  • Implement eventtotime synchronization (cycleaccurate) across traces, power models, and thermal solvers, considering architectural aspects, and collaborate with architecture/hardware engineers.
  • Collaborate with RTL engineers to ensure feature/model consistency.
  • Support workloadphase detection, burstbehavior analysis, and accesspattern classification based on CPU/GPU/TPU I/Ooperation architectures and memorycontroller operations, collaborating with architecture/hardware engineers.


What You Bring



  • Bachelors degree 5+ years of experience or Masters degree 3+ years of experience.
  • Strong C++ programming skills.
  • Experience with simulators or architecturalmodeling frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of computer architecture (memory systems, buses, controllers).
  • Experience handling largescale trace data and timeseries analysis.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with GPU/TPU workloads or AI/ML execution patterns.
  • Experience with power, performance, or thermal modeling.
  • Background in simulation infrastructure or researchoriented software development.
