What to Expect

The Low Voltage Hardware Validation Test team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to support multi-program test development, execution, documentation, and root cause analysis. In this role, you will contribute to all aspects of testing, including electrical instrumentation, mechanical fixture design and assembly, and complex mechanical test setups.


What You'll Do
  • Collaborate with engineers to validate test components for multi-program initiatives through mechanical, electrical, and ingress testing
  • Design, build, and dismantle mechanical fixtures, often using T-slotted aluminum extrusion
  • Design, build, debug, rework, and dismantle complex mechanical testers
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and predict potential failures
  • Drive design changes based on test results by partnering with design engineers and test engineers
  • Operate tests using environmental chambers for thermal/humidity, vibration, and related equipment
  • Launch test software and assist in triaging test failures

What You'll Bring
  • Familiarity with strain gauges, leak testers, pumping systems (including safe installation, maintenance, and operation), micro-ohm meters, vibration tables, shock towers, and thermal chambers (covering temperature, relative humidity, and condensation)
  • Experience building custom harnesses, including signal and power cables ranging from 22 gauge to 0 gauge
  • Ability to manage multiple test priorities and communicate proactively
  • Proficiency in using a Digital Multimeter (DMM) to measure voltage and resistance, with strong problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving issues

    Expected Compensation
    $24.40 - $50.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
