Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Grand Rapids, MI. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for the receipt of incoming materials, supplies, and products into the enterprise resource planning software with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Greet and assist couriers in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Organize and move material to designated receiving and stockroom staging areas, and transfer material as needed throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Inspect packaging and material for damage or contamination.
  • Follow established procedures to accurately verify receiving documents, part numbers, quantity delivered, and serial numbers to purchase orders.
  • Maintain and update the enterprise resource planning software and various shared databases with a high level of accuracy to ensure process continuity.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
  • Proactively identify possible constraints to receive while managing priorities to meet production requirements.
  • Work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and couriers to receive, facilitate, and follow up on internal and external requests.
  • Prepare and make ready outbound shipments for freight pick-up.
  • Complete cross-functional training in packaging to assist upon request.
  • Assist in looking for continuous improvements, increased efficiencies, and cost savings methods related to shipping, receiving, and stockroom operations.
  • Responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including performing other functions within the department and working in other departments as needed.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $19.00/hr.

Hours: 9/80 schedule, 8:00-5:00 pm with every other Friday off.

Length: Contract (3 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Work and Excel.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Ability to solve problems of basic complexity and apply solutions as necessary.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with the client's specific Environmental Health and Safety policy/procedure regarding material handling.

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the necessary employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Holds the ability to handle items (up to 45 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g., pallet jacks, height-adjustable carts, etc.).
  • Willingness to work overtime on short notice to support business requirements.
